COMPASSThe ACM COMPASS 2023 organizing committee is seeking active student volunteers to ensure a successful and smooth conference. We are looking for enthusiastic and dependable SVs to assist us in running ACM COMPASS 2023, scheduled from 16 – 19 August 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Responsibilities:
As a student volunteer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Attend the conference in person and assist with organizing demo and poster sessions, staffing the registration desk, ensuring the smooth functioning of the presentation laptop and streaming, and managing Q&A sessions for both on-site and remote conference attendees to create an inclusive and engaging hybrid conference experience.
- Attend the pre-conference orientation meeting and familiarize yourself with the assigned volunteering schedule.
- Attend the scheduled volunteer time slot.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible to apply for a student volunteer position, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral program during the conference period. Students who will be graduating during the conference are also eligible to apply. Please note that being a student volunteer only waives your conference registration fees; no travel funding is provided.
Application Process:

Please note priority will be given to student authors who have accepted papers, posters, or demos for student volunteer positions in order to reduce their registration costs. Confirmation of acceptance of student volunteers will be sent before May 30, 2023 (tentative).
