Workshop Proposals
We invite workshops proposals for COMPASS 2025. We encourage workshop sessions that engage with the conference theme, Computing in Place, and any of the following areas:- Systems and IoT for Sustainable Societies
- HCI, Design and Critical Perspectives
- AI, ML and Data Science for Sustainable Societies
- Development, Economics and Policy
- Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change
- Technology, Media, and Social Practice
Proposal Submission Details
To propose a workshop session, please submit a proposal through HotCRP: https://compass2025.hotcrp.com/ Workshop proposals should be submitted as an extended abstract of up to four pages excluding references. The submissions should include the following:- Title
- Organizers (proposals are not anonymized)
- Workshop background, format, theme, and goals
- Anticipated outcomes
- Duration, sample schedule, and 250-word call for participation (can be removed if accepted and published in the ACM DL proceedings)
Proposal Formatting Details
- Submissions are not anonymous; organizers’ names should be included in the submission.
- Authors must use the current ACM two-column conference format. LaTeX, Word, and Overleaf templates are available on the ACM Website.
- For LaTeX use ‘sigconf’ proceedings template. The following settings should be used in the template: documentclass[sigconf,natbib=true]{acmart}.
- For Word, use the Interim Template for Word.
- ACM’s CCS concepts and keywords are not required for review but may be required if accepted and published by the ACM.
- Upon acceptance, authors will be provided the choice of opt-in/opt-out of the ACM DL proceedings for the conference.
