COMPASSThe ACM COMPASS 2025 organizing committee is seeking active student volunteers to ensure the conference runs smoothly and successfully. We are looking for enthusiastic and dependable student volunteers to help us with ACM COMPASS 2025, scheduled for July 22 – 25, 2025, in Toronto, Canada.
Responsibilities:
- As a student volunteer, you will be responsible for the following:
Attend the conference, either in person or remotely, and assist with organizing demo and poster sessions, staffing the registration desk, ensuring the smooth operation of presentation laptops and streaming, and managing Q&A sessions for both on-site and remote attendees to create an inclusive and engaging hybrid conference experience. - Attend the pre-conference orientation meeting and familiarize yourself with the assigned volunteer schedule.
- Fulfill your duties during the scheduled volunteer time slots.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible to apply for a student volunteer position, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral program at the time of the conference. Students who are graduating during the conference period are also eligible to apply.
Application Process:
To apply for the position, please fill out the form as soon as possible or by May 10, 2025, at the latest. We are hiring student volunteers on a rolling basis. Priority will be given to student authors with accepted papers, posters, or demos to help reduce their registration costs. Confirmation of acceptance for student volunteers will be sent on a rolling basis but no later than May 30, 2025.
Benefits:
Student volunteers will receive a full conference pass that allows them to attend all paper, poster, and demo sessions, along with complimentary meals provided by the conference (breakfast, coffee breaks, and lunch). This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization of the conference while interacting with authors and peers, thus expanding your professional network. Additionally, selected volunteers may receive up to $750 in support for travel and accommodation.
